Jarvis Vinson was 23 when he was shot and killed in Jackson, Tennessee. On August 11, 2012, he was dropped off near an apartment complex on Brianfield Drive with a fatal gunshot wound and later died at Jackson General Hospital. Friends and family described him as a loving son, brother and a devoted father who was working toward securing a steady job to provide for his baby.

Police concluded Vinson was an innocent bystander struck during a drive-by shooting. Investigators say the violence stemmed from an earlier altercation that evening at a nightclub involving a woman named Tashonda Davis and another man. Five people were charged with first-degree murder in connection with the case: Tashonda Davis, Roderick Gladney, Emanuel Beard, Jateryance Smith and Kentavious Crisp. A Madison County grand jury returned indictments for Davis and Gladney; Beard and Smith, both 17 at the time, were arrested and to be tried as adults. Davis was taken into custody and Gladney was already incarcerated on a parole violation.

Does anyone who knew Jarvis or who was in north Jackson that night have information that could help clarify what happened?
