Edwin Joe Todd Jr., 23, was shot and killed in a parking lot in Knoxville, Tennessee, in the early morning hours of April 27, 2006. A college student who had moved from Chicago, he went by JR to family and Shaq to friends. That night he had been at the Red Iguana in the Old City; an altercation that began inside spilled into a nearby parking lot where a large brawl broke out and a single gunshot struck Todd. Police arrived around 3 a.m. and found him on the pavement.

Investigators recovered only a shirt and a shell casing from the scene and interviewed more than 20 people present, but no one provided a clear identification of the shooter. Leads over the years included a description of a Black male with dreadlocks who may have moved to the Atlanta area and reports of a white mid-1990s Cadillac de Ville seen leaving the scene, but no arrests have been made. The Knoxville Police Department lists the case as open.

Did anyone know Edwin Joe Todd Jr., his circle that night, or have information about the Cadillac or the man with dreadlocks?
