I've been following the Trevino case closely and something that's been on my mind is the impact this has had on his local community. I grew up in a town not far from McAllen, and I know how tight-knit these communities can be. From what I’ve read, Miguel was well-loved by many, and it seems like he had a real network of people who cared about him deeply. It’s devastating to think about how his family's life has been turned upside down, but it’s also been moving to see how the community has rallied around them. I’ve read about the memorial services and various gatherings held in his honor, and it’s heartening to see that his memory is being cherished and that those left behind have the support they need. I can only hope that Miguel’s family can find some peace and comfort knowing how much he meant to those around him. If anyone else has thoughts or more stories about Miguel and his impact on McAllen, I’d love to hear them.
