Jose Angel Bravo, 41, was found dead on October 4, 2022, at a residence on the outskirts of Los Fresnos, Texas. He was discovered lying face down in the driveway with apparent gunshot wounds. Cameron County Justice of the Peace Pct. 4 Juan Mendoza Jr. pronounced him dead and ordered an autopsy.
The Cameron County Sheriff’s Department linked 26-year-old Normando Uribe to the killing. Uribe was charged with one count of murder and one count of evading arrest/detention. He was arrested on October 5, 2022, after being spotted walking near a canal area where he had previously evaded officers, interviewed at the Sheriff’s Department, and booked at the Carrizales Rucker Detention Center. If convicted on the murder charge he faces 5 to 99 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
The investigation is ongoing and authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward. Does anyone have information about Bravo, his movements that week, or witnesses who were in the area that day?
