The depth of this tragedy is hard to comprehend. I've been thinking a lot about the three younger children of Monica Delgado who were physically unharmed in the shooting but now have to cope with the emotional aftermath of losing their mom and siblings. It's unimaginable what they must be going through. Thanks to McGregor Independent School District for stepping up and offering grief support, but I hope there's a more long-term plan in place for these kids. The trauma of witnessing something so horrific can leave lasting scars, and they'll need support not just now, but potentially for years to come. Has anyone heard if the surrounding community or other organizations are stepping in to provide ongoing assistance or counseling for them? My heart is with these kids and everyone who loved Monica and her family.
