Levi Ray Shaw was a 9-year-old boy from Granbury, Texas, who died after an accidental shooting at his family home in the Acton area of Hood County on August 9, 2022. Born December 29, 2012, to Camie and Dallas Shaw, Levi attended Emma Robertson and Brawner elementary schools and was described as kind, adventurous and eager to serve as a police officer, firefighter or in the military. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with his mother and playing video games.

Authorities say Levi was accidentally shot by his father, Dallas Ray Shaw. The Hood County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rangers responded; Levi was flown to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, where he later died.

The family has received community support, including a fundraising account at First National Bank of Granbury. If anyone knew Levi or has information about the incident, please share what you can.
