Raymundo Nepumuceano Jimenez, 29, was found dead on July 8, 2022, in Laredo, Texas, alongside his younger brother Edgar Nepumuceano Jimenez, 22. The brothers’ bodies were discovered in an abandoned lot in the Mines Road area of northwest Laredo. Investigators concluded both had been shot and were transported to that location from somewhere else.
Authorities identified 25-year-old Jainer Andrade-Lara as the primary suspect and obtained two murder warrants naming him. Investigators said Andrade-Lara was believed to be involved in human trafficking and that the killings may have been tied to eliminating competition in that activity. Maria D. Guillen Rangel was also named in a warrant for allegedly hindering Andrade-Lara’s apprehension; a reward was offered for information leading to his arrest.
No motive beyond the alleged links to human trafficking has been confirmed. Does anyone have information about the brothers, their movements in Laredo, or contacts who might assist investigators?
