Collin Davis, 33, of Haltom City, Texas, was killed on July 2, 2022, in a mass shooting at the home of friend Amber Tsai. The gunman, identified as 28-year-old Edward Freyman, fired hundreds of rounds at the residence; Tsai was also fatally shot. Three police officers and an elderly neighbor were wounded in the attack. Reports state Freyman then died by a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the scene.

The Texas Rangers have assumed the investigation. Motive remains unclear, and authorities are still working to establish the relationships among the shooter and the victims. Families have established GoFundMe pages for funeral expenses, and Davis is remembered by relatives as kind and selfless; his mother had lost another son six months earlier.
