Marvkese Crawford, 23, of Dickinson, Texas, was shot to death on May 15, 2022, at a home in La Marque, Texas. He was one of two men killed after being lured to the house under the pretense of a drug deal; the other victim named in reporting is Audry Eugene Wayne Fuller III. Crawford was fatally wounded while attempting to flee through the backyard during a shootout.

Authorities described the plot as a robbery setup. Anthony Terrell Miles, identified as a co-conspirator, was arrested, charged with capital murder, later reached a plea agreement and received a 50-year sentence for his role. Another person referred to as Clark still faces charges of narcotics trafficking and tampering with evidence. Multiple agencies took part in the investigation, including the La Marque Police Department, the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office and the Harris County High Tech Crimes Unit.
