Corwin Davis, a 31-year-old from Adkins, Texas, was shot multiple times and died on May 3, 2022, after several masked people forced their way into his home in the early morning hours. The intruders intended to steal marijuana and cash, and Davis was found in a bedroom with multiple gunshot wounds; he was taken to hospital but did not survive. He was known locally as a calf roper and had a young daughter, Chanel.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office opened an investigation that drew heavy local attention. Authorities arrested two men already in custody on unrelated charges, identified as Malyk Jason, 26, and Seth Ronterio Little, 20; both were charged with capital murder. Investigators say up to three other people may have been involved and the probe remains ongoing.
