Alfonso Solomon was 19 when he was fatally shot on April 14, 2022, in the McDonald’s parking lot on Twin City Highway in Groves, Texas. Officers responded about 10:50 p.m. and found Solomon face down near the drive-thru menus; he was later pronounced dead at CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Surveillance footage and the investigation show Solomon had a brief, combative conversation with a red Dodge Journey driven by 20-year-old Darionte Everfield. Everfield and Solomon were seen standing close together between vehicles before multiple shots were fired. Solomon ran toward the eastern corner of the restaurant and was found there. Everfield fled in the Dodge Journey; 19-year-old Darryl Dwayne Prevost remained inside the vehicle.

Both Everfield and Prevost have been indicted on murder charges and are held in the Jefferson County Jail on significant bonds. Does anyone have information about Solomon, the vehicle, or the events that night that could help investigators?
