Steven Ray Wilson, 37, of Kempner, Texas, was shot to death at his home in the Wells Ranch subdivision just south of Copperas Cove on April 13, 2022. Born June 16, 1984, in Great Falls, Montana, he moved to Texas in 2001. He enjoyed gaming, extreme sports, and fishing, and is survived by his children Matthew Thompson, Isabelle Wilson, and Stormie Wilson, plus his parents and siblings.

According to an arrest affidavit, an argument with his roommate, Ian Drew St. Joseph Valderrama, over household chores and a broken car part began about 2 p.m. and continued intermittently through the day. Around 10 p.m. Valderrama, who had reportedly been carrying a shotgun, fired at Wilson in the dining room. Valderrama was arrested at the scene and later indicted by a Bell County grand jury on one count of murder; he was being held in the Bell County Jail on a $1 million bond.

Does anyone have information about Wilson’s last day, the Wells Ranch neighborhood, or contacts who might help clarify what led to the argument?
