Deandre Lamadris Graham, a 33-year-old African American man, was fatally shot in the early morning hours of March 30, 2022, at the Axiom Apartments on Bell Street in Amarillo, Texas. The juvenile later believed a handgun he had brought with him was missing and, with two other juveniles, returned to Graham’s unit where they located the weapon and damaged or disabled Graham’s surveillance cameras.
Later that night the juvenile hid in a bathtub in another apartment in the complex. When Graham entered the bathroom the youth fired a handgun, striking Graham twice in the chest; Graham was unarmed and died at the scene. The juvenile fled but turned himself in two days later. At the time he was on juvenile probation for prior offenses and had multiple prior referrals in Potter County.
Did anyone in the neighborhood see activity at the Axiom Apartments that night or know either Graham or the juveniles involved?
