DAnthony Maurice Dixon, 27, was shot to death on March 26, 2022, in Schertz, Texas. His SUV was found against a median in the 1900 block of IH-35 North around 2 a.m., with multiple bullet holes. Emergency medical personnel attempted life-saving measures, but Dixon succumbed at the scene. The Bexar County Medical Examiner ruled the cause of death gunshot wounds, including injuries to the neck and waist area.

Authorities say the shooting happened while Dixon was driving on the highway and another vehicle pulled up alongside and opened fire. Southbound lanes of I-35 were closed for several hours during the response. Schertz police are reviewing surveillance footage and witness statements, have released photos of persons of interest, and are offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. No suspect has been publicly identified and the investigation remains open.
