Jennifer Archer, from Atlanta, Texas, was found dead on March 11, 2022, inside a burned-out camper in the woods off County Road 4667 south of Atlanta. She and another victim, John Thomas, Jr., had both been shot. Investigators recovered a firearm at the scene that forensic testing later tied to the shootings.
Charles Spraberry was identified as the suspect and captured after a multi-agency manhunt. He escaped custody briefly before being recaptured. Spraberry pleaded guilty to capital murder in the deaths of Archer and Thomas and faced additional charges including assault causing bodily injury, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, escape with a deadly weapon, and assault on a public servant. He was sentenced to life without parole for the capital murder count, with consecutive terms for the other convictions.
The families of both victims displayed civility and forgiveness during court proceedings and expressed trust in the judicial process and law enforcement to secure justice for their loved ones. Does anyone have information about Jennifer’s last known movements or the area around CR 4667 on March 11, 2022?
