Rickalon Lamar Young was an 18-year-old student and cornerback on the Texas High School football team who died on December 13, 2021, after a shooting at a house in the 1900 block of W. 13th St. in Texarkana, Texas. He was found downstairs in the home and taken to a local hospital, where he later died. A second victim, DeAngelo Handy, was found deceased upstairs in the same house.

Rickalon was active in his school and church, described as energetic, funny and intelligent, and a member of Martin Chapel CME Church. Funeral services were held December 22, 2021, at Mt. Grove Baptist Church, with burial at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Kevonte Collins, an 18-year-old, has been identified as the suspect; court records say Collins believed Rickalon, Handy and another person had set him up to be robbed. Collins was arrested on May 1, 2022. Anyone who knew Rickalon or has information about the shooting is asked to come forward.
