Faith Liliana Monreal was a 15-year-old Hispanic high school student from Hutto, Texas, who was shot in the head while at a friend’s house during a sleepover in the Hutto Town Square Neighborhood on December 12, 2021. She was taken to the hospital and survived in critical condition for two months before dying on February 11, 2022. The Hutto Independent School District called the shooting a tragic incident.

Investigators said additional complexities emerged during the probe. A manslaughter warrant was issued for the unidentified girl involved, and the girl’s father faced a warrant for making a firearm accessible to a child resulting in death, a class A misdemeanor. Faith’s family has been dealing with the juvenile justice process and said they were denied the chance to deliver impact statements in the juvenile case. A GoFundMe was created to support the family.

Does anyone have information about the events at that sleepover or the investigation that could help bring clarity to Faith’s family?
