Edward Joseph Daniels IV, 43, of Abilene, Texas, died of gunshot wounds on October 11, 2021. Born September 1, 1978, in Providence, Rhode Island, he enjoyed cooking, gaming, the outdoors and made art and tattoo designs for family; he is remembered as a devoted father.

Prosecutors say Malik Tyrese Corbin, 22, of Abilene, was involved in a romantic relationship with Edward’s wife, Cassandra Greene. Greene reportedly drove Corbin to the Daniels home, where a confrontation between Corbin and Edward ended when Corbin allegedly shot Edward multiple times. Corbin fled with Greene but was later caught after a brief police pursuit; Greene was arrested on a hindering apprehension charge and Corbin was indicted by a Taylor County Grand Jury for murder.
