Damien Damon Wiley, 35, was fatally shot on August 29, 2021, at the Cooper Mart in the 800 block of West Dallas Street in Cooper, Texas. Deputies arriving at the scene found Wiley dead and another man, Saquan Harrion-Reynolds, 21, injured; Harrion-Reynolds was airlifted to a Dallas-area hospital in stable condition.

Robert Clevon Jeffery, 47, was arrested at the scene and charged with murder and assault with a deadly weapon. He was held at the Delta County Jail on a $1.5 million bond—$1 million for murder and $500,000 for assault. The Texas Rangers and several other agencies assisted in the investigation, and the Delta County Sheriff’s Office asked anyone with information to come forward.
