Sebastian Capetillo, a 30-year-old Hispanic man and a former correctional officer at the Jordan Unit in Pampa, was found dead at a shooting scene on the morning of August 14, 2021. The Pampa Police Department responded to a call at the 600 block of North Nelson and discovered Capetillo deceased. He is described as a devoted father of three and remembered for an outgoing personality and a love of gaming.

Authorities identified 30-year-old Paul Soria Jr., also of Pampa, as the suspect. Soria was located at the scene, arrested, and charged with murder; an autopsy was ordered to determine the exact cause of death. The Pampa Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division took over the investigation and continued gathering evidence.
