Martin De Dios Alamillo was 32 when he was shot and killed on July 2, 2021, during a violent home invasion at his residence on the 2400 block of Orange Blossom Lane in East Harris County, Highlands, Texas. Four armed men wearing body armor, masks, and gloves forced their way into the home while Martin’s wife, Mayra Morales Martinez, and their three children, ages 10 to 17, were inside. One child was on FaceTime when the break-in occurred; Martin and a cousin rushed to the house and Martin was shot in the doorway and died instantly.

The suspects fled in a blue Chevy pickup truck, which they crashed about nine miles from the house before running off on foot. One suspect, an 18-year-old named Ruben Garcia, was arrested and charged with capital murder; authorities continued searching for the other three suspects and sought video and witness information. Martin is remembered by his wife, children Martin Jr., Evelyn Jahaira and Dana Darita, his parents Martin de Jesus Alamillo and Blanca Nelly Morales, siblings and extended family.

Did anyone in the area see that blue Chevy pickup or the crash the morning of July 2, 2021?
