Randall Scott Thornhill, 34, was shot and killed on May 15, 2021, in Desoto, Texas. A truck driver and mechanic, born March 28, 1987, in Shreveport, Louisiana, he was in a 2003 Mazda 3 with his wife Heather French and their 5-year-old son Noah when the attack occurred. The family had stopped to drop off Noah at his father’s farm.

Randall was fatally shot and Heather was injured; their young son witnessed the shooting from the back seat. A neighbor’s security camera recorded the shots, and McMaryion was later located in Arizona driving a stolen vehicle, arrested, extradited to Desoto, pleaded guilty and received a 40-year prison sentence. Heather said the sentence was insufficient for the family’s loss and trauma.

Did anyone in the area know the Thornhill family or have information about the moments leading up to the shooting?
