Jaime Leal Rodriguez, a 22-year-old Hispanic man, died on April 5, 2021, in Laredo, Texas, after being stabbed during a violent altercation at the Sugar Rush Partyland event venue. The attack took place in the early morning around 4:58 a.m. and left multiple people injured.

Surveillance footage showed 18-year-old Anthony Tays Jr. attacking several people during the confrontation. Rodriguez was stabbed in the upper torso while trying to defend another person and was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident also involved Lester Herrera, who allegedly fired shots into the air during the altercation and is reported to be at large.
