Denene Suzanne Biedenbach Mosley, 53, was shot to death and found on February 7, 2021, at a residence on Posey Road in East Mountain, Upshur County. She and 66-year-old Leonard Faris Gibson were discovered dead that evening; authorities quickly classified the incident as a double murder. The Upshur County Sheriff’s Office said the victims and the suspect were known to each other.

Nichlous Cole Williams, 19, of East Mountain, was arrested shortly after the killings and charged with two counts of murder. He was booked into the Upshur County Jail with bond set at $500,000, and the case was turned over to the Upshur County District Attorney’s Office. Denene was born January 23, 1968, in Butler, Pennsylvania, lived in Longview, Texas, and later Palm Coast, Florida; she was remembered as outgoing and fun-loving, who enjoyed playing cards and bowling.
