Angie Crystal Saucedo was 19 when she was found dead in her College Station apartment on October 6, 2020. Her roommate discovered her after Angie’s mother reported being unable to reach her. Angie had been dating Cristian Gonzalez, 24, of Lewisville, Texas, for about six months; Gonzalez was the last known person to visit her before her death.

Investigators say Gonzalez stopped at a Walmart in Bryan on his way back to Lewisville and was captured on surveillance disposing of items later recovered with Angie’s blood and Gonzalez’s DNA, including her phone, paper towels, and latex gloves. Phone records reportedly show Gonzalez continued texting Angie for hours after discarding her belongings. He was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence and later pleaded guilty to murder; he received a 50-year prison sentence. The motive was not disclosed and Gonzalez had no prior criminal history.
