Shaunathan Elijah Hunt McMahon, a 17-year-old student at Burleson High School, was shot and killed on September 21, 2020. He was found near a basketball court at the Alsbury Villas on 755 NE Alsbury Blvd after meeting with three other teenagers for what police say was a drug deal.

The Burleson Police Department investigated the killing. Three suspects were arrested; Bryan Keith Dominguez and Xavier Miranda were indicted by a Tarrant County grand jury for murder, and another teenager was charged with tampering with physical evidence. The case drew heavy local attention and prompted calls for community vigilance regarding drug activity and youth safety.
