Antonio Wilson, a 32-year-old African American man from Beaumont, Texas, was shot and killed on August 6, 2020. He was found in a parking lot in the 5900 block of Bedford Drive with a gunshot wound and died after being taken to the hospital.

Authorities arrested 33-year-old Markeith Rashaad Morgan of Beaumont on a murder warrant; he was taken into custody by the Beaumont Police Department’s Special Assignment Unit and the US Marshals Service and held on a $1 million bond. Investigators said they believed more than one person was involved and indicated additional arrests were expected.
