Nicholas Jude Iriarte Godwin, a 20-year-old Hispanic man, was fatally shot on June 21, 2020, at the Glen Willows Apartments on Everhart Road in Corpus Christi, Texas. The late Sunday night incident, about 10:30 p.m., left four people hospitalized; Nicholas was the only person killed.

Authorities said the shooting involved people who knew each other rather than a random attacker. The Corpus Christi Police Department identified 21-year-old Jimmie Lee Williams as a suspect; Williams was arrested and charged with murder and three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and held on bonds totaling the amounts set for those charges.

The investigation was ongoing as detectives worked to reconstruct what happened. Nicholas was remembered by family and friends as NicoBoy, Beebee and Nick. If anyone has information that could help the investigation, please share what is known.
