Roshaun McQueen, a 30-year-old man from Hemphill, Texas, died of a gunshot wound to the chest on May 23, 2020. Deputies responding to reports of gunshots found McQueen dead at a home in the Midlake Community after an altercation with his girlfriend that began over a missing marijuana blunt.
The sister alerted their father, Lon L. Hall, who arrived with his wife and another woman. Hall says McQueen answered the door with a gun in an aggravated manner, causing Hall to fear for his life and shoot McQueen. Hall was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and later released on personal recognizance.
Accounts conflict about what happened in the moments before the shooting and whether Hall’s use of force was justified. Does anyone have information about the timeline inside the house or witnesses who were present that night?
