Sabrien Verdell Walton was 45 when he was fatally shot on the night of March 29, 2020, in the 700 block of Wilson Street in Henderson, Texas. Known as Half Dead, he was born March 26, 1975, in Henderson, a member of Henderson High School’s Class of 1993, and worked for many years at Boral Brick. He was a father to five sons and is remembered by family and friends for his kindness and dedication.

A 29-year-old identified as Gary Jordan Jr. turned himself in to the Henderson Police Department shortly after the shooting and was accused of killing Walton. Authorities did not release a possible motive. Jordan was held in the Rusk County Jail awaiting arraignment with no bond set at that time.
