Guillermo ’Willie’ Garcia, 41, of Harlingen, Texas, died of a gunshot wound to the chest on February 6, 2020. His body was found inside a parked car on the 3300 block of Adams Landing in Harlingen.

Investigators arrested Garcia’s former roommate, Anthony Eliff III, the day after the body was discovered. Authorities say the fatal shooting arose from a dispute about a parking spot at their residence. A .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol later recovered in an alley near a relative’s property was linked to the killing. Eliff was charged with murder and also faced a weapons charge in connection with the firearm recovery.

Very little is publicly known about events immediately before the shooting beyond reports of a prior altercation between the men. Anyone who knew Garcia, his routines, or who saw activity on Adams Landing around February 6, 2020 is asked to come forward with information.
