Stephan Fox, 31, was shot and killed and found inside his vehicle in the 100 block of North Mesquite Avenue in New Braunfels, Texas, shortly after 9:45 p.m. on November 30, 2019. Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots and then seeing a man flee the scene on foot. Police determined Fox and the suspect had mutual acquaintances and that the meeting between them had been arranged.
A suspect, 22-year-old Koever Henke-Wommack of New Braunfels, was located by U.S. Marshals in Schertz on December 10, 2019, taken into custody on an unrelated parole violation and served with a capital murder warrant the next day. Authorities say Henke-Wommack allegedly shot Fox multiple times during a robbery; he was charged with capital murder because the killing occurred during the commission of a robbery and was held on $250,000 bond.
Anyone with information about Fox, the meeting that preceded the shooting, or witnesses to the events that night is asked to come forward.
