Stanley Allen Strole was 37 when he was last known to have contact in Aberdeen, South Dakota, on March 15, 1979. He is described as White, brown hair, brown eyes, about 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall and roughly 150 pounds, with a burn scar on one shoulder. NamUs lists him as missing from Aberdeen and identifies the Aberdeen Police Department as the investigating agency (case MP23483).

Multiple accounts place Stanley at the Palm Garden in Aberdeen the day he left home without his insulin; he was diabetic and insulin-dependent. Police paperwork cited in a later report says he left after an argument involving a sister who wouldn’t buy him beer, and that he withdrew all his money before going to the Palm Garden. One report relayed an unconfirmed sighting of him getting into a red pickup with three other men. Over the years bodies thought to be his were ruled out by DNA and fingerprint checks.

If anyone remembers Stanley, the Palm Garden that night, a red pickup, or other details that could help, please contact the Aberdeen Police Department with any information.
