Gilbert Mascorro, 32, of San Angelo, Texas, was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds at the Red Roof Inn on South Bryant Boulevard on July 7, 2019. The San Angelo Police Department discovered his body about 1 p.m.; an autopsy confirmed the cause of death as gunshot wounds. His death was the fifth homicide in the city that year.

Police identified Jessie Wayne Robinson Jr., 27, of Abilene as a person of interest early in the probe. Robinson was charged with murder on July 9, 2019, and later indicted on September 5, 2019. On March 3, 2020, Robinson pleaded guilty and received a 40-year sentence. Two other people, Jennifer Badillo and Daniel Nakeia Diaz, still face pending murder charges related to the case and the investigation remains active.

Does anyone have information about Mascorro’s movements before July 7, 2019, or about the other individuals charged in the case?
