Jared Anthony Lohse, 27, was found dead inside a burning house in the 4800 block of North Chadbourne Street in San Angelo on March 20, 2019. A preliminary autopsy determined he died from gunshot wounds, and investigators found he had been shot twice in the face. The fire was one element of a double murder-arson: Jack Harris Jr., 50, also died from a single gunshot wound to the face at the same scene.

San Angelo police identified and arrested 36-year-old Dwayne Chance Chadwick as a suspect and charged him with two counts of murder; bond was set at two million dollars. Lohse is survived by his daughter Harlee D’Lynn Lohse, son Koltyn Lohse, his mother Teresa Lohse Riley and other family members.
