Tyson Franklin, 42, of Corpus Christi was found dead inside a blue Dodge pickup the morning of March 10, 2019, in the 2800 block of Robby Drive near McKinzie Road. The Nueces County Medical Examiner determined Franklin died from a gunshot wound, and his death was investigated as a homicide.

Authorities issued an arrest warrant for 39-year-old Zachary Hensley on suspicion of Franklin’s murder. Hensley was described as about 6 feet 4 inches, 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes; he was later located in the Houston area and taken into custody. Corpus Christi detectives and the Medical Examiner’s Office worked together as the case was assigned to the 28th District Court, Judge Michael McCauley presiding.
