Brent Brock, 54, was shot and killed at about 4 p.m. on March 8, 2019, in a workplace shooting in The Woodlands, in the 2100 block of Buckthorne Place. He was an employee at the office building where the shooting occurred; another person was injured in the incident. The suspect was identified as 63-year-old John Williams, who had divorce papers served to his wife earlier that day at the same office building. Authorities report Williams fled the scene and was later found dead at the site of a fiery car crash about half a mile away.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rangers investigated and concluded the shooting stemmed from a personal conflict between Williams and Brock.
