Dwight Jeremaine Terry, 19, was shot at Club Vibe, 5600 E. Amarillo Boulevard, in Amarillo, Texas, during the early morning hours of February 24, 2019. The shooting happened about 3:15 a.m.; Terry was taken to a local hospital and later died of his injuries. A Justice of the Peace ordered an autopsy that was performed on February 26, 2019, in Lubbock.

Police identified 22-year-old Jody Joe Lewis as the primary suspect and a murder warrant was issued. Lewis later turned himself in and was booked into the Potter County Detention Center. A Potter County grand jury indicted Jody Joe Lewis on a charge of murder on May 22, 2019.
