Holly Jones, 37, of Henderson, Texas, was one of four adults shot in a mass shooting at Oak Manor Apartments on February 17, 2019. The shooting occurred just after 6:30 p.m.; police found four adult gunshot victims and three children who were unharmed. Jones was flown to a nearby hospital and later died of her injuries.

Also killed was Justin Smith, 31, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other adult victims, Billie Pyers, 65, and Cassandra Shaffer, 26, were hospitalized and treated. The three children present were reunited with family members.

Randy Burford Winn, 62, of Henderson, was arrested and charged with capital murder and related offenses. Investigators reported Jones had been trying to end a romantic relationship with Winn and had been staying with her brother to avoid him; the motive for the shooting remains unclear and the trial is ongoing. Holly Jones was cremated and laid to rest at Crims Chapel Cemetery alongside her mother and brother.
