William M. Booker, 36, was shot and killed on June 11, 2018, in Lewisville, Texas, after an altercation that began when he tried to leave his girlfriend’s apartment on his motorcycle and found his path blocked by a vehicle. Police say Booker and the driver exchanged words; Booker reportedly kicked the car, then rode away and was followed. About half a mile from the apartment near T’s Bar & Grill — a place where Booker worked as a DJ and musician — he was fatally shot in the back along SH 121 and Oakwood.

The suspect was identified as 28-year-old Quintin Lowe, who was arrested and charged with murder and held in the Dallas County Jail with bond set at $300,000. Investigators described the suspect’s vehicle as a dark-colored car, possibly a Dodge, and asked witnesses for details such as a license plate number or direction of travel. Booker was a Navy veteran (2000–2005) who also did karaoke hosting and motorcycle repair; his funeral with military honors took place June 19, 2018, at Fort Sill National Cemetery.
