Broussard and another man, 35-year-old Ramiro Aguilar, were both shot during a gunfight and were pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital. Two other people were wounded in the same incident.

The shooting reportedly began after an argument between Broussard and Aguilar, but it remains unclear who fired the fatal shots.
