On January 20, 2018, Manish Panday, a 35-year-old store clerk of Indian ethnicity, was shot and killed during an armed robbery at an Exxon gas station in the 4700 block of Broadway Boulevard in Garland, Texas. The fatal shooting occurred shortly before midnight when Panday struggled with suspects over a gun.

Surveillance footage released by investigators showed two men entering the store; one wore a black hoodie, dark jeans and blue shoes with white soles, the other wore a dark hoodie, khaki pants and carried a blue Spiderman backpack. Detectives linked the pair to at least four other armed robberies in the area and said a getaway driver likely assisted them.

Two suspects, 19-year-old Chavez Tyree Nash and 23-year-old Darrell Dewayne Nash, were arrested in Dallas shortly after the killing, and a third suspect, 31-year-old Tristan Rashad Bowles, was later charged. Chavez Nash received a 40-year prison sentence for his role. The shooting left Panday’s pregnant wife and family grieving; a community vigil was held and authorities offered a reward while asking the public for any additional information.

Did anyone in the Garland area recognize the suspects from the surveillance video or have information about the getaway vehicle?
