The couple had been married 67 years and were long-time community members, with Wallace a former U.S. Air Force pilot and Korean War prisoner of war and Bobby Jean a dental hygienist and active volunteer with the hospital auxiliary and lineage organizations such as the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of 1812, and Daughters of the Indian Wars.
