Anthony Michael Cross, 33, was one of eight people killed on September 10, 2017, during a mass shooting at a Dallas Cowboys viewing party in Plano, Texas. The gathering was at the home of Meredith Hight, who was also killed. The attacker has been identified as Spencer Hight, Meredith’s estranged husband; he arrived armed with a pistol, a semi-automatic rifle, and a knife and opened fire on guests.

Police say Carly Shockey survived after being shot in the jaw and escaping, while officers engaged and killed Spencer Hight at the scene. Investigators recovered more than 2,000 rounds of ammunition, multiple firearms, and drug paraphernalia at his apartment. The shooting left the community mourning and raised questions about domestic violence and mental health.
