Bronson Boyles, 19, was shot and killed on July 28, 2017, at the Summer Wind Apartment Homes in Abilene, Texas. Police affidavits describe a planned robbery: a group of five allegedly conspired to target Boyles because they believed he sold marijuana. On the night of the incident, D’Audre Raashawn Hight-Ealy is said to have lured Boyles outside his apartment. A scuffle ensued between Boyles and D’Jaman Keshod West, and West shot Boyles; the group then fled.
