Teahoga Glover, a 31-year-old man from Abilene, Texas, was shot and killed on July 27, 2017. He had been at a house in the 1900 block of Swenson Street with friends when an argument escalated; witnesses reported hearing gunshots and then finding Glover on the floor. He was shot once in the chest and was later pronounced dead at Hendrick Medical Center.
Investigators arrested 32-year-old Abilene resident Willie Dale Pruitt Jr. and charged him with second-degree felony manslaughter. Police say Pruitt argued with Glover before the shooting; a witness reported seeing Pruitt point a gun at Glover’s head and threaten him, and Pruitt later admitted to shooting Glover and disposing of the firearm. A 9mm handgun believed to be used in the shooting was recovered near the Lake Fort Phantom Hill dam. Pruitt was held in Taylor County Jail on $150,000 bond.
The family held a prayer vigil and set up a GoFundMe for funeral costs while continuing to seek answers. Does anyone have information about that night on Swenson Street or about the recovery of the weapon?
