Conrad Michael Kuntz was a 17-year-old from New Braunfels, Texas, who died of a gunshot wound on June 17, 2017. The shooting happened about 10 p.m. in the 1500 block of Lahn Road after an altercation involving multiple suspects. Emergency medical services attempted to save him but he succumbed to his injuries.

Three suspects were charged in connection with Conrad’s killing. A 15-year-old male from Marion and a 16-year-old male from New Braunfels were charged with murder and held at the Guadalupe County Juvenile Detention Center; a different 16-year-old male was charged with robbery related to the incident. Investigators believe the suspects had met around the time of the altercation.

Conrad was active in school and sports, a swimmer who enjoyed snowboarding and wakeboarding, and spent summers lifeguarding near the Comal River. The community held a vigil and his family created the Conrad Kuntz Memorial Fund; a pecan tree was planted near the river in his memory.

Did anyone who knew Conrad or was in New Braunfels that night see or hear anything that could help this case?
