Steve Hollins, 26, of the Houston area, was shot and later died on January 25, 2017, in La Marque, Texas. Officers responded to a shots-fired call early that morning near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Lee Drive and found Hollins on a property in the 200 block of Prune Street; he was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Investigators say Hollins was not alone when the shooting occurred. A search warrant on the property turned up evidence related to the shooting. A blood trail led to Plum Street, where a vehicle was recovered for processing, and witnesses reported another vehicle was seen in the area and driven away.

The La Marque Police Department asked the public for information. If anyone knew Steve, saw activity around Prune or Plum streets that morning, or has information about the vehicles, please come forward.
