Larry Lee Mendoza, a 46-year-old Hispanic man, was killed on December 20, 2016, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Authorities treated his death as a murder and carried out an investigation that resulted in multiple arrests. The final suspect linked to Mendoza’s killing was taken into custody in San Antonio in April 2019.

The arrests led to a series of court actions as prosecutors pursued charges related to the homicide. Investigators from Corpus Christi and San Antonio worked together on the case.
