On December 9, 2016, four people were found dead inside a burning car on Market Street in Channelview, Texas. Christopher Chaney, 28, was among the victims; the other three were Nicholette Briscoe, Willie Norman, and Kelcii Flintroy. Chaney and Briscoe were married and had two children, and Norman and Flintroy were brother and sister.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office reports that all four died of gunshot wounds to the head and that investigators believe the killings likely occurred elsewhere before the bodies were placed in the vehicle and the car set on fire to conceal the crime. Despite extensive investigative efforts and public appeals, no suspects have been identified or arrested and the case remains open.

The families of the victims have been in contact with investigators and are seeking justice. If anyone has information about the deaths of Christopher Chaney, Nicholette Briscoe, Willie Norman, or Kelcii Flintroy, please contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
